Mattresses

All four are pocket sprung, medium to medium-firm, and arrive rolled in a box.
The difference is depth and comfort layer:
- 23cm 2000 Pocket - the straightforward one. Spare rooms, guest beds, first flats.
- 28cm ORACOOL No.1 - 7-zone springs and cooling foam, our newest and best value.
- 28cm Pillow Top - a softer surface on the same depth, if you like sinking in a little.
- 35cm Gel Memory Foam - the deepest and most cushioned, for a main bedroom you're keeping.
If you're not sure, medium suits most people and both back and side sleepers

Medium to medium-firm across the range. Medium-firm holds your spine in line without feeling hard. Firmer suits front sleepers and heavier builds; softer suits lighter builds and anyone with shoulder or hip pain.

Measure the inside of your bed frame, not the mattress you already own - older and imported frames are often a few centimetres out.

The mattress is vacuum packed and rolled at the factory, so it comes to the door in a box roughly a metre tall instead of on a lorry. It fits through any doorway, round any landing and up any stairs. Once you unroll it, it takes its full shape in about three hours.

About three hours to take shape. It keeps expanding for a few days, so give it three or four nights before you judge the comfort.
